Roof Refurbishment, County Hall, Essex

Project Brief:

County Hall, a local government building based in Esses, required a Proteus Waterproofing High Performance Built Up Roof System, as the existing felt was showing signs of aging and blisters had begun to form. As the substrate was suitable to accept a new overlay system, Proteus Pro-Felt® Ultima Plus Fireguard BUR was selected, meeting the required thermal performance and providing a for the roof of 25 years.

Due to the building being listed and the complex nature of the roofs, Proteus Pro-Felt® Ultima Plus Fireguard mineral cap sheet was chosen as it has the highest European Fire Rating, BroofT4. Proteus Waterproofing worked closely with Mells Roofing Ltd to deliver the project to a high standard.
